When I was an Astronaut : 2015
To be honest I’m trying to lie. Salted copper, cream cheese, rust on cookie sheets seemed as credible landscapes, for a while; but as the weeks went on, I added tempera paint, or food colour, more vinegar and salt, a little bit at a time, they kinda’ eventually got out of control and degenerated into abstract landscapes. ( I think the moss helped for a few weeks.) Still they are mostly still gentler than many abstractions, so I thought moving them into outer space or on to other planets might bring back that hard to get verisimilitude that photography is known for. I don’t know if the puff pastry ever reached its full potential.
